Growing up, you have learned about many different shapes like circles, triangles, or squares. Today we will explore many of the shapes we are already familiar with. On this page, we will learn about PLANE FIGURES and POLYGONS.
PLANE FIGURE - A flat-surfaced figure
POLYGON - Plane figures that have more than three sides
POLYGONS have unique characteristics we use to describe them. We call these characteristics ATTRIBUTES. The ATTRIBUTES of a pentagon are different than the ATTRIBUTES of a triangle. Some POLYGONS share similar ATTRIBUTES.
